Before it became the #GENCFOAcademy, our Generation CFO Bootcamp was the digital finance training place to be and our festival of learning event. It came to you virtually on the 21st and 22nd of September 2021.
The Bootcamp was split into three categories (The Shift, The Lab, and The Academy) to ensure it was inclusive and informative for our entire accounting and finance community. So, no matter where you were on your digital transformation journey, there was a session for you.
The Shift
The Shift was designed for CFOs, finance leaders, and academics undergoing digital finance transformations. During the event, they discovered how these leaders were leading change and achieving success. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from the latest digital finance insights at the 'Digital Transformation Research Findings' session, produced by Generation CFO, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). The event also featured three real-life examples of technology changes reshaping the traditional world of accounting and finance and driving the need for the Digital Finance Function. These examples were presented by Chris Argent, Founder & Managing Director at Generation CFO.
The Lab
To ensure a successful digital finance transformation for you and your team, The Lab provided comprehensive guides, including Hyper Automation, xP&A, Analytics, Modelling, Data Visualisation, Data Science, Expense Management, Procure to Payment, and more. Attendees learned from subject matter experts, practitioners, and academics in the industry who had already implemented these changes and could offer valuable insights to help others do the same. The event also helped participants discover how to initiate and stack success factors in their favour, along with identifying the best software to optimise their transformation.
The Academy
The Academy took an 'open day' approach to future learning needs, directing individuals towards the learning pathways that would help them scale and lead their own Digital Finance Function projects and teams. Expert trainers led these informative sessions for accounting and finance professionals in the industry. They covered various topics, including the Accelerated Leadership Programme, Digital Finance Transformation Literacy Training, The Digital Finance Function Model Training, Foundations in Data Visualisation, and Data Analytics and Advanced Analytics
