This Deep Dive Live session was with Generation CFO and UiPath.

In April’s thought-provoking Deep Dive Live, we were joined by Stephen Sutcliffe, NHS SBS Director of Finance & Accounting and during this session, we discussed in-depth how the NHS remained resilient and agile over the last 12 months and how they managed to improve processes throughout the global pandemic.

Before Covid-19 broke out in the UK, the NHS had already kicked-off their digital journey, making automation a key factor, which Stephen believes helped the team excel throughout the pandemic.

  • How they became resilient and agile and able to meet the challenges Of Covid-19
  • Improving efficiency using Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Getting critical funds to the right people at the right time
  • Meeting the expectations and needs of the NHS when they most needed it

Session highlights:

Throughout the Webinar, the attendees took part in a poll so we could find out the answer to one very important question… what is the biggest barrier to process automation? Interestingly enough, the blocker is people and culture change! So, over time with more knowledge, can we help change this?

The NHS SBS Director of Finance & Accounting shared what he has learnt over the last 12 months and how automation and robots have played a strategic role and in turn leading Stephen to believe a ‘truly digital’ platform is the way forward.

At one point, Stephen made an outstanding remark around automation and his team: “Last year we would have needed a team of 125 people to carry out the same work that a team of 11 were doing, if the robots and automation wasn’t already in place!”

The NHS really is an inspiration and that is why they were crowned “Team of the Year” at the Generation CFO Live Awards! Congratulations again, to Stephen and his team… and we wish you the best of luck as you continue your digital journey!
