How finance leaders can approach the cost of living crisis

We are operating in some of the harshest macroeconomic conditions in a generation. Spiralling cost of living, inflation looming and domestic politics is a nightmare for everyone, from controllers to their employees.

So, how do we steer our way through this cost control crisis?

Join GENCFO’s Deep Dive session to explore how we as finance leaders can drive spend culture, tighten controls and find clearer roads to recovery.

Sandeep Dasgupta
Head of Finance, Marks & Spender Food

Sandeep is a finance leader who has spent his career in large corporates supporting both sustainable, profitable growth and ensuring that finance has a prime seat at the table on the big decisions that businesses face. He currently works in M&S Food supporting the transformation of their end-to-end Supply Chain, focussing on both cost control and ensuring the delivery of strategic investments that drive the business beyond the short term. Prior to M&S, Sandeep worked at pladis, working in multiple finance roles including Commercial Finance and leading the Strategy and Transformation in their North American business, based in New York.

Daniel Mensah
Head of Audit, Clear Channel International

Daniel is a senior leader with 15 years’ experience in large, international corporates and passionate about sustained high performance through authentic and inclusive leadership. He currently leads the European division of the Clear Channel Audit team, a fast-paced global out of home advertising business. In 2022 Daniel was appointed to the Audit Committee of the Rugby Football League.

Christopher Argent
Experienced CFO and MD, GENCFO

Chris Argent is Founder and Managing Director at GENCFO – an organisation that guides businesses and individuals to reengineer themselves through our thought leadership, training and digital finance transformation.

Eli Ganz
FP&A Manager, Soldo

Eli leads all aspects of commercial analysis, planning and strategic modelling at Soldo. He is keen to promote Finance as a commercial business partner rather than an administrative function, and believes that process automation is fundamental to this. Prior to this role, he worked for several early-stage companies where he built up commercial finance functions from scratch. He has helped businesses scale rapidly, and seen them through several fundraising rounds, as well as exits.
