Were you at the Digital Finance Function Awards 2023?

London lit up with CFOs, their teams and everyone in between as we all came together at the iconic Ham Yard Hotel.  It was an incredible night, with some well deserved wins - if you didn't manage to secure a ticket before they sold out, here's your guide to the best bits!

How did it start?

The evening kicked off with a vibrant cocktail reception. Nominees, guests and sponsors alike arrived in their finest outfits, greeting each other and sharing excited smiles before the ceremony began. 

The guests took their seats. A performance began from the Mirror Men dancers. The lights went down and the introduction video started.

It showed all of the incredible categories, the big brands whose finance professionals were nominated, and the sponsors and partners who made the event possible, including the headline sponsors Planful and ACCA, and our other sponsors CA ANZ, Michael Page, Sage, Vantage Point, Documation, Advanced.

One by one, the individuals, teams and companies that the judges selected were announced. It's hard to describe the huge applause and celebration from the crowd! Relive the announcements here with my complete list of winners:

The special honours

We wanted to extend a special invitation to winners of DFF Awards 2021, as they were unable to accept physical trophies due to the pandemic. So, one of the winners joined Chris on the stage to receive his - and it was a long time coming!

After the ceremony

The names were announced, cheers were raised and then it was time for canapes, drinks and connections.

Past winners mixed with new, and community members from all over the globe were finally meeting in person. 

Our photographer captured some great moments, including me, Becky Glover (one of this year's winners) and ACCA's Amanda Thurlow shown below.

As the night continued, we saw networks grow and loved that the community was coming together to celebrate the achievements of the year - they really deserved to. Now, the team, community and supporters are all looking forward to 2024. It'll be even bigger and better (if that's possible!).
